LARRY MAXFIELD

Larry Maxfield of Tiverton died suddenly at the Kincardine Curling Club, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, at the age of 76. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Gerry. Loving father of Christopher and Jennifer. Dear brother of Cheryl Ryan (Barry). Cherished grandfather of Damien, Nathan and Katelyn. Predeceased by his parents, Eugene (2001) and Dorothy (Williams, 2018); and brother, Tim (2018). Larry worked at the Bruce Heavy Water Plant and then at the Control Maintenance Unit as an instrument and electrical supervisor before retiring. He was an avid curler for many years and loved the fellowship and camaraderie at the club. In the warmer months, he and Gerry enjoyed hiking, biking and kayaking. He loved being in nature at the cottage at Miller Lake, and also had a passion for barbecuing for friends and family. He truly will be missed by all. The family thanks all the emergency personnel who aided Larry, which included the fire department, OPP, ambulance and hospital staff. A celebration of Larry’s life will take place in the spring.
