Patricia Anne "Patsy" Stewart (née Wittig) died suddenly, yet peacefully, with her son, Bill, and niece, Linda, by her side, Dec. 22, 2025, during a Santa Claus Party at Tiverton Park Manor, Tiverton, at the age of 99. Predeceased by her husband, Donald (2003); her parents, Reuben and Eva Wittig; and her brothers, Bill and Bob. Loving mother of Bill, Donald and Suzanne. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Bill, Kate, Jeannie, Lauren and Ian. Survived by her sibling, Joan Gatsby of Vancouver; sister-in-law, Betty Wittig of Kincardine; and cousin, Betty Lou Burnie of Michigan. Patsy was one-of-a-kind, an incredible woman who nearly reached 100 years of age. She was a master storyteller and loved to share her fond memories of Tiverton, Kincardine and Inverhuron with all. “My mother was tough, and if she taught us anything, it's that a woman can be strong and live life on her own terms. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, friends and, of course by me, Bill. Rest in peace Mother.” A Celebration of Life to honour Patsy and celebrate what would have been her 100th birthday, will be held Saturday, June 4, 2026, from 1-4 p.m., at her beloved cottage in Inverhuron.
