There are shortcuts to happiness ... dancing is one of them

To the Editor:

Having spent summers here in the past, we know that Kincardine is a friendly and welcoming town with lots of interesting festivals and cultural events.

We recently moved to the area and were looking for a fall-to-spring activity to get us through the winter. During a chance meeting at a plant sale, we were invited to join the modern square dance club, Kincardine Tartan Twirlers.

What we found was so much more than an activity. For a few hours each Friday, we get together to enjoy an atmosphere that is so positive and carefree. Everyone is smiling and laughing.

It doesn't take long to feel part of the club. Oh yeah, and we dance. We have enjoyed it so much that we also dance with the Huron Bruce Swingers in Lucknow.

You don’t need a partner. You don’t have to wear the crinoline or skirt. Just come to the Anglican Church in Kincardine, meet friends, exercise, and have fun!

There are shortcuts to happiness ... dancing is one of them!
