The Ainsdale ladies came to play in the hot, humid dog-days of September, Tuesday at Ainsdale Golf Course.
The scoring was high and the putt count was low, as three ladies had zero putts, each boasting a chip-in from the fringe. Debbie Catto carded a 45 with 15 putts on the back nine for an A flight win with 30.51 Stableford points.

The closest to the sprinkler head, was awarded to Christine MacDonald. The recipients of the Dairy Queen vouchers for a Blizzard, were Shirley Cole, Marlene Morrow, Debby Antler, Denise Tighe, Maureen Peet and Kim Williams.
SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
A hot, late summer morning greeted 44 players in the Senior Men's Scramble, Wednesday, on the back nine at Ainsdale, with the team of Dave Hodgson, Clarke Pollock, Rick Haugh and Roy Douglas, topping the field with a minus-three score.
Closest to the pin sharpshooters were Rick Hamilton on No. 12 and Richard Emmerton on No. 17.
