Ripley Wolves advance with 4-0 sweep of Erin
Garrett Meurs was the overtime hero in Game 4, as the Ripley Wolves completed their first-round sweep of the Erin Outlaws, Saturday night.
The Wolves won Game 3, Friday, by a 5-1 score, and finished Erin off, Saturday, with a 4-3 victory in overtime.
Friday's game was a tight affair through two periods, before Ripley scored three in the third to win 5-1.
Goals were scored by Meurs, Kaden Hoggarth, Dan Nicoloff, Cody Britton and Dawson Fahrer. Assists went to Gerrit Satosek (3), Derek Skinner (2), Todd Hellyer, Tyler McCarthy, Meurs, Fahrer and Britton.
Ripley goalie Garrett Golley got the Game 3 win in the Wolves’ net.

The Wolves will now face the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks in the Ontario Elite Hockey League semi-finals, after the Hawks downed Tavistock in five games.
Game 1 is Friday, Feb. 28, at 8:30 p.m. in Ripley. Game 2 is Sunday, March 2, at 5:15 p.m. in Port Elgin.
