South Bruce OPP report impaired drivers charged
ARREST MADE AFTER COLLISION

(BROCKTON, ON) - Dec. 5, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a collision on Concession 22 in the Municipality of Brockton.

Police attended the scene and discovered a pick-up truck in the ditch. The driver did not remain at the scene of the collision but was located nearby shortly thereafter. While interacting with the driver, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The suspect was taken into custody and transported for further testing.

Shawn WOODWARD, 28, of Chesley was charged with Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80-plus, CC 320.14(1)(b).

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Jan. 21, 2026, to answer to the charge.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(KINCARDINE, ON) - Dec. 6, at approximately 10:20 p.m., a member of the South Bruce OPP was on general patrol along Highway 21 in Kincardine, and observed a vehicle travelling northbound with no rear lights.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the investigating officer detected signs of alcohol consumption from the driver. A roadside screening device was administered, resulting in a fail. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Eugene CORPUZ, 32, of Kincardine, was charged with Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80-plus, CC 320.14(1)(b).

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, Jan. 21, 2026, to answer to the charge.
