Residents of Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss reminded of holiday garbage, recycling schedules
The holidays are a busy time and there’s lots to keep in mind.
Residents of Kincardine and Huron-Kinloss are reminded of changes to the garbage and recycling schedules during Christmas and New Year’s.
For the Municipality of Kincardine, a few pick-up days are shifting, so be sure to make a note before putting your bins out. For Ward 2 (Kincardine Township), the recycling day lands on Christmas Day, so the next Blue Box collection will be Jan. 8, 2026.
Below, is the holiday collection schedule as outlined by the contractor, Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling.
Meanwhile, in Huron-Kinloss Township, residents should note the following changes to garbage and recycling collection.
No collection on:
- Thursday, Dec. 25 – Christmas Day
- Thursday, Jan. 1 – New Year’s Day
If your regular collection day is Thursday:
- Garbage: pick-up will occur Friday instead
- Recycling: Thursday pick-ups will pause for the holidays, with the next collection Jan. 8 — please hold your recycling until then.
Below, is the full holiday schedule.
