Kincardine Bulldogs trounced, 9-2, by Hanover Barons
The Kincardine Bulldogs were trounced by the Hanover Barons, Saturday night, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
Hanover opened the scoring early in the first period and added two more to take a commanding 3-0 lead before Zasha Ortman put the 'Dogs on the board, scoring from Bryce Martin and Chad Lawrence, to make it a 3-1 game.
The Barons added four unanswered goals in the second to make it 7-1 heading into the final frame.
Cole Lewis scored for Kincardine, from Ty McQuillin and Ortman, but Hanover owned the rest of the game, adding two more goals, to take the 9-2 win.
Hanover had 36 shots on goal, compared to 21 by the 'Dogs.
Bulldogs goalie William Belitski made 13 saves on 19 shots, while his teammate, goalie Blake Beitz, made 14 saves on 17 shots.
The 'Dogs travel to Hanover to face the Barons again, Friday, Jan. 9, at 8 p.m., and are back home at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, Saturday, Jan. 10, to take on the Wingham Ironmen, at 7:30 p.m.
