The Under-18 (U18) B Kincardine Kinucks girls hockey team claimed the championship at the 2026 International Silver Stick Tournament in Sarnia on the weekend, with a strong showing against top competition.

Kincardine opened the tournament with a 2–2 tie against Lucan, followed by an impressive 4–0 shut-out victory over North Halton, setting an early tone built on disciplined defence and solid goaltending.

In round-robin play, the Kinucks then faced Lambton, dropping a close 3–1 decision in a physical match-up, before rebounding with a 3–0 win over St. Thomas to secure a playoff spot.

The semi-finals featured a re-match with Lucan. Learning from the opening-game tie, Kincardine delivered a composed and focused performance, earning a 2–0 victory to advance to the championship final.

In the finals, the Kinucks faced Lambton once again, with the Silver Stick title on the line. Kincardine rose to the occasion, defeating Lambton, 4–2, in a fast-paced and competitive championship game. Balanced scoring, strong offensive play, and steady goaltending proved to be the difference.
