Ripley Wolves split weekend games on home ice
The Ripley Wolves split two homes games this weekend, losing to Elmvale, Saturday night, and downing Lucknow, Sunday afternoon.
The Wolves and the Elmvale Harvesters played a very fast and entertaining game, Saturday night, but the bounces and at least three shots, wired off posts and crossbars, didn't go Ripley's way in a 4-1 loss.
J.D. Falconer scored the lone Wolves goal on an absolutely gorgeous pass from Jordan Moulton, with the second assist going to Garrett Meurs.
Goalie Jason Hamilton did all he could to hold off the third-place Harvesters, but took the loss in the Wolves net.

Sunday afternoon, the Wolves welcomed the Lucknow Lancers into the Den and came out with a 5-2 victory.
Ethan Skinner led the way for the Wolves with two goals, while singles were scored by Cody Britton, Christian Monachino, and Kaden Hoggarth. Assists went to Carter Servais (2), Britton (2), Dawson Fahrer, Monachino, Moulton, Meurs, Skinner, and Hoggarth.
Goalie Garrett Golley stopped 19 of 21 shots for the win in the Wolves net.
It's a battle for first overall, Friday, Jan. 16, when the Wolves host the Durham Thundercats at 8:30 p.m., at the Ripley Arena.
Saturday, Jan. 17, Ripley hosts Shelburne at 7 p.m., in the final home game of the regular season.
