​Kincardine Bulldogs post two wins, one loss on the weekend
The Kincardine Bulldogs defeated Mitchell twice, but lost to Walkerton, in Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) action on the weekend.

The 'Dogs hosted Mitchell, Friday night, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, and sent the Hawks home with a 5-2 loss.

Kincardine opened the scoring early in the first period on a goal by Leland Weber from Dawson Marshall. Minutes later, it was 2-0 for Kincardine as Cole Lewis scored from Owen Shore.

Mitchell managed to fire in a shot before the end of the period.

Early in the second, the Hawks tied the game at two apiece before Nathan Lavender scored from Weber and Carson Stutzman, to give the 'Dogs a 3-2 lead. Minutes later, Jared Houghton made it a 4-2 game, assisted by Jackson Hayward-nelson and Caeleb Bowler.

Shore scored early in the final frame to make it 5-2 for Kincardine, and that's how the game ended.

Kincardine goalie Blake Beitz made 28 saves on 30 shots.

Saturday night, the Bulldogs were home to the Walkerton Capitals and suffered a 4-2 loss.

Scoring for Kincardine, were Hayward-Nelson from Shore and Bowler; and Bryce Martin from Austin Griffin and Bowler.

Kincardine goalie Rowen Cherrett made 46 saves on 50 shots.

Sunday night, the Bulldogs travelled to Mitchell and handed the Hawks another 5-2 loss.

Scoring for Kincardine, were Martin from Zasha Ortman; Ortman from Griffin; Wagler from Lavender; Lavender from Stutzman; and Stutzman, unassisted.

Cherrett made 37 saves on 39 shots in the Kincardine net.

The Bulldogs are at home to Wingham, Saturday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.; and travel to Mount Forest, Sunday, Jan. 25, for a 2 p.m. game.
