Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse Half Marathon to support Kincardine Hospital campaign
A brand new community tradition is on the horizon. Lace up and join the inaugural Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse Half Marathon and 5K slated for Oct. 4, in support of the Kincardine Hospital capital campaign and exceptional health care close to home.

The event will feature a scenic lakeside course connecting the historic Point Clark Lighthouse to the
iconic Kincardine Lighthouse, creating a memorable experience for both seasoned runners and first-time participants. All proceeds will support priority equipment needs and facility improvements at the
Kincardine Hospital.

“This run is more than a race," says Becky Fair, president of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation. "It’s a statement about who we are as a community. Every step taken on this course helps strengthen the future of care for our families, our neighbours, and the generations that follow. We’re thrilled to introduce an event that blends local pride with meaningful impact.”

Race director Sarah Foster emphasizes the community-driven spirit behind the event.

“We’ve designed a course that celebrates the beauty of our shoreline and the energy of our town,” she says. “Whether you’re aiming for a personal best, sharing a challenge with friends, or cheering from the sidelines, you’ll be part of something that truly matters.”

The Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse run will become a cornerstone annual fund-raiser for the foundation,
offering participants the opportunity to make a tangible difference while enjoying a vibrant,
well-supported race day experience.

Registration details, route maps, volunteer opportunities, and sponsorship information will be released in the coming weeks.
