Kincardine Legion Corner
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, we didn’t have any double-dippers at all, with eight different people winning. Continuing the 2026 trend where super-nice people are winning the 50/50 draw, Cookie Quinn won, taking home $156. Congratulations, Cookie, don’t spend it all on yarn!
2026 marks a major milestone for the Legion, celebrating a full century of service, remembrance, and support for communities across Canada. Over the course of the year, branches will be highlighting our history, introducing new initiatives, and hosting a variety of events designed to connect people and bring communities together. From activities at the local branch level to programs happening nationwide, there are many opportunities to get involved, reflect on the past, and help shape the Legion’s next chapter.
One of those opportunities is happening at Branch 183. Saturday, Feb. 21, we’re hosting a relaxed
Meet and Greet for new members at the Legion. Feel free to drop in anytime between 1-2:30 p.m. to explore the building, meet members of our executive, enjoy a casual tour, and ask questions about membership, volunteering, or getting involved. If you’d like to stay a little longer, our popular Saturday Meat Draw begins at 2:30 p.m., with prizes up for grabs.
To celebrate the Centenary, community members who have never been Legion members before, can join for free for the year. We’ve already welcomed quite a few new members and would love to see more join Branch 183. If membership has ever crossed your mind, this is the perfect time. You can join on-line at
portal.legion.ca/join or stop by the branch to fill out an application in person. Our membership chairperson, Kim, is happy to answer any questions and can be reached at
05-183@legion.ca. Get signed up, come say hello at the Meet and Greet, and be part of this milestone year. We look forward to meeting you.
With the wild winter weather, we had to cancel the
Thursday Night Bingo (Jan. 22). If you were really hoping to try that turkey pot pie, don’t worry, I’m sure they will bring that back again. The menu for the next week will be chili. Don’t forget the first game at Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m., and the food before Bingo starts at 5 p.m.
The SOLD OUT Trivia Night, Friday, Jan. 23, was cancelled due to the inclement weather and has been re-scheduled until Friday, Jan. 30.
Tickets are on sale now at the Legion Bar for two of our coming events with live music:
First up, Saturday, March 14, we are having a

Bring some extra cash if you want to get in on the 50/50 draw that night.
