Ripley Wolves lose final game of season, finish first in North Division
Despite a 6-2 loss, Saturday night in Durham, the Ripley Wolves have once again claimed first place in the North Division of the Ontario Elite Hockey League, with a 16-4 record and 32 points.
The Durham Thundercats finished second with 30 points and a 15-5 record, while the Minto 81s could finish with as many as 31 points.
The Wolves won't know their first-round playoff opponent for another couple of weeks.
In the season finale, the Wolves fell behind, 4-0, and couldn't claw their way back into the game despite goals from J.D. Falconer and Dawson Fahrer. Assists went to Kaden Hoggarth, Jordan Moulton and goalie Garrett Golley.
Golley took the loss in the Wolves net.
