Three KDSS students advance to Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton
Three students at Kincardine District Senior School (KDSS) have advanced to the Canada-Wide Science Fair, after winning gold medals at the Bluewater Regional Science Fair, held Wednesday, April 1, at the Bayshore in Owen Sound.
Jade Lowry will be competing on the national stage for a second time, having travelled to New Brunswick last year. Her project this year, "Saliva pH and Enamel Remineralisation: Exploring a Potential Contributor to Gender Differences in Dental Caries," won her a gold medal and the Richard Brown Persistence in Innovation Award.
Tristan Traynor and Ani Tokekar won a gold medal for their project, "Bin There, Sorted That." They were also the recipients of the NPX Innovation Award.
Jade, Tristan and Ani will join Team Bluewater at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton next month.

- Kabe Wright, "What's in Your Water?" - gained valuable experience at his first regional competition
- Gauri Tokekar, "Listen to Your Heart" - silver medal
- Cadence Baumber, "Inclusivity on Wheels" - bronze medal
- Mohamed Lila and Ibrahim Syed, "Design and Evaluation of a Laser-Based Visual Cueing System to Reduce Freezing of Gait - gold medal and the MEG Computer Award
