Walker House Museum hosting live stream watch party: Fish City
Join the Walker House Museum in Kincardine on Earth Day for a unique underwater experience!

April 22 at 10 a.m., in partnership with Great Lakes Now and Inspired Planet Productions, the museum will be streaming live from the waters surrounding the Bruce Power nuclear generating station on Lake Huron. This is one of the most visually-striking and rarely seen environments in the Great Lakes — often described as a “fish city” due to its incredible density and diversity of aquatic life.

View the live-stream here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMF32VYJFg0.

Joined by fish biologist Nicholas Mandrak and Bruce Power scientist Cherie-Lee Fietsch, the broadcast will explore this eco-system in real time using an underwater robot. Viewers can expect close encounters with species, such as bow fin, bigmouth buffalo, small-mouth bass, and massive schools of gizzard shad — all drawn to the plant’s warm water outflow. In this dynamic environment, there’s always the potential for surprises.

Everyone is welcome to gather at the Walker House Museum, 235 Harbour St., Kincardine, for a group watch party from 10-11 a.m. Admission is by donation.

Reservations are required as space is limited. To reserve your seat, call 519-396-1850 or by E-mail at thewalkerhousemuseum@gmail.com.
