Huron-Kinloss opening yard waste depots in Ripley and Lucknow, April 18

The Township of Huron-Kinloss’ yard waste depots in Ripley and Lucknow will open for the season, tomorrow (April 18).

DEPOT LOCATIONS:
 

• Huron Yard Waste Depot - just east of the Huron Landfill, 2083 Concession 6 East
• Lucknow Yard Waste Depot - 907 Havelock Street, just south of the soccer fields

ACCEPTED MATERIALS:
 

• Grass, leaves, and garden clippings in paper bags
• Brush
• Small branches under six inches in diameter

Large loads of loose leaves should be taken to the landfill on days that it is open.

NOT ACCEPTED:
 

• Logs or stumps
• Construction material
• Household garbage

Please note that the depots may temporarily close during extremely wet or muddy conditions to allow the sites to dry. Any temporary closures will be communicated as needed.
