Joining the county’s senior leadership team, he will provide strategic planning and operational leadership in the management of children’s services, housing services, and income and support services, as well as the implementation of strategic community initiatives.

He joins the county from his previous role as the manager for homelessness prevention and social planning in Lambton County.

“It is a great pleasure to offer congratulations to Ian Hanney on his appointment as Bruce County’s new director of human services,” said warden Luke Charbonneau. “His experience and leadership will help us continue to build new relationships and foster innovative solutions for delivering human services to the community.”

Hannay will begin his new role with Bruce County, effective May 25.
