Kincardine Bulldogs begin Western Junior "C" semi-finals on Family Day

The Nicol Insurance Kincardine Bulldogs will begin their Western Junior “C” semi-final series on Family Day, Monday, Feb. 15, at the Davidson Centre after defeating the Goderich Flyers Wednesday night to take the quarter-final series, 4-0.
 

“We won’t know the opponent until after the other quarter-final series are completed,” said Darren Maurer, director of media relations. “If the Mount Forest Patriots defeat the Hanover Barons, then we will play the Patriots in the semi-finals, but if Hanover wins that series, then we would play the winner of the series between the Wingham Ironmen and the Mitchell Hawks. Regardless of who we play, we are starting Monday.”
 

Game time is set for 3 p.m.
 

As of Friday morning (Feb. 12), Hanover and Mount Forest are tied at two games apiece, while Mitchell leads Wingham, three games to two.
