The Ripley and District Lions Club golf tournament has raised $13,500 to be split between Huron Shores Hospice and the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation.
Held Friday at Ainsdale Golf Course, the event saw a tremendous turn-out, and strong support from local community sponsors.
Ripley Lion John Kelly, A-9 First District Governor, presented the cheque to the two organizations at the end of the tournament.
RIPLEY LIONS RECEIVE JUDGE BRIAN STEVENSON FELLOWSHIP
The Ripley Lions also celebrated four members who have received the Judge Brian Stevenson Fellowship award which recognizes those who are 65 years of age with at least 10 years of Lions Club service.
A-9 First District Governor John Kelly presented awards to Ripley Lions Brian Colling, Chris McGarvey, Gary Shepard, and Rob Miller. In recognition of these members’ awards, a donation was made to Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
