Max Bailey of Kincardine dies at the age of 71

Maxwell "Max" Bailey of Kincardine died peacefully, June 11, 2026, at the Stratford General Home, at the age of 71.

His memory will live on through those he loved the most, his wife, Linda (nee Wilson); his daughter, Emily (Mike) Johnston; and his two cherished grandsons, Barrett and Bode.

Born March 29, 1955, in Deep River, he was the son of Reginald (Rex) Bailey and Laetitia McNamara.

Max was not fond of funerals and to honour his request, there will be a private family gathering at a later date.

In memory of Max’s love for arts and the trades, the family is welcoming memorial donations to the BUILDKD-plus Campaign. Donations may be made by cheque, payable to the Bluewater District School Board, and can be submitted by mail or in person through the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
