The annual Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games is scheduled for July 3-5 in Victoria Park and Robinson Park, Kincardine.
The event kicks off with the opening ceremonies, Friday night at 6:30 p.m., in Victoria Park.
The line-up includes Schiehallion of Inverness, Scotland, followed by ABBAMANIA, Classic Elton John, the Glengarry Bhoys, and a video dance party.
Saturday is a full day of piping and drumming and heavy games.
The solo piping and drumming competition begins in the morning on the streets surrounding Victoria Park, and the park opens at 10:30 a.m., with vendors and Clan Avenue open to the public.
Meanwhile, Robinson Park on Russell Street opens at 10 a.m., featuring the highland games and heavy athletics, including the hammer throw, sheaf toss, stone throw, and caber toss.
The Massed Band Parade begins at 11 a.m., at the Kincardine Legion, with grand chieftain Duncan Hawthorne and parade marshall James Scongack, and marches through downtown Kincardine to Victoria Park.
There will be a Highland Dance performance by Guthrie School of Dance, at Noon, followed by the pipe band competition in the band circle in front of the main stage, with more than 20 pipe bands participating.
Free park access ends at 4 p.m., when the evening concert begins.
The line-up includes Schiehallion, 54•40, the Glengarry Bhoys, and a video dance party.
Sunday is family day at Victoria Park as well as the Kirkin' of the Tartan at Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincardine.
The park opens at 11 a.m., and the music begins with Schiehallion, followed by the Glengarry Bhoys, the closing ceremonies, Hotel California - The Eagles Tribute, and Tanglefoot.
This year, the Kincardine Scottish Festival is completely cashless in Victoria Park; however, some vendors may still be accepting cash.
