Kincardine Bulldogs oust Patriots, take on Walkerton in finals
The Kincardine Nicol Insurance Bulldogs have ousted the Mount Forest Patriots, and now face the Walkerton Hawks in the Western Junior "C" finals.

The 'Dogs defeated Mount Forest in Game 5, Friday, Feb. 26, at the Davidson Centre, before heading to Mount Forest Saturday, Feb. 27, and suffering a 5-4 loss.

Back at the Davidson Centre, Sunday afternoon, Feb. 28, with the series tied at three apiece, the Bulldogs downed the Patriots, 6-3, to take the semi-finals, four games to three.
 

Gerrit Satosek was all over the ice for the 'Dogs, as he tallied two goals - one on the powerplay at 19:59 into the second period, and short-handed at 17:55 into the third to make the score 5-3 for Kincardine.
 

The 'Dogs also got points from Shawn Moore, who had one goal and one assist; Patrick Wiejak, who had one goal and one assist; and Matthew Mah, with one goal and one assist. Tyler Fregona potted a goal for the 'Dogs, and assists came from Eric Langridge with two, and Dalton Hnatko, Shawn Rooke, and Brady Richards, with one apiece.
 

Jacob Hutchings made 22 saves for Kincardine on 25 shots.

The 'Dogs will travel to Walkerton Friday night for Game 1 of the finals, and are back at the Davidson Centre for Game 2, Sunday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m.
