Weather runs cool and then warm for men's golf at Ainsdale

A cool and breezy morning did not deter 50 players from participating in the Senior Men’s Scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday. 

The team of Gary Firth, Garry Skelding, Brian Rhody and Hugh Jones led the way with a fine minus-four score on the front nine. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Dennis Pierson on No. 3 and Phil Thompkins on No. 8.

MEN'S NIGHT

Another great day brought 77 players out Thursday, the largest number for Men’s Night.

Chris Brown dominated A flight with 30 points, while Ken Catto captured B, Mark McBride won C, and Ken Bresee and Al Matheson shared top honours in D Flight.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Gary Chambers, Blair Chaput, Gordon Yoon, Jim Martin and Chris Brown.
