Great weather for Ainsdale ladies; and rain holds off for senior men's league

The weather co-operated Tuesday, and the Ainsdale Ladies took full advantage, with all five flight winners recording 30 or more Stableford points.
 

Ask Anne Burton, Shirley Thomas and Ethel McDonald how they did their Chip-Ins.

The flight winners for Stableford points, were:  A  Karen Neilipovitz 30,  B  Antoinetta MacDonald 30,  C  Deb Quinn 36,  D  Carolyn Blenkinsop 35,  E  Joanna Malott 33.

 

The low putters by flight, were:  A Barb Grubb 14,  B Cathy Chambers 15,  C Deb Quinn 17,  D Edie Fotheringham 17,  E Joanna Malott 23

 

The sponsored-hole winners for closest to the line, were:  Christine MacDonald,  Anne Burton,  Ruth Johnston and Marg Firth, while the long drive boomers were Denise Tighe,  Deb Catto,  Marlene Morrow,  Deb MacGregor-Brindley and Joanna Malott.

The long putt winner was awarded to Nancy Turcotte, with the closest-to-the-sprinkler-head going to Antoinetta MacDonald.

 

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE

 

With the showers holding off for the Senior Men's scramble Wednesday, the team of Rod MacDonald, Kenton Ehgoetz, Art Koberinski and John Curtis topped the field of 52 players with a fine minus-three score on the back nine. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Rod MacDonald on No. 12 and Ross Stewart on No. 17.
