Successful senior men's scramble; and men's steak night at Ainsdale

Another gorgeous golf day greeted the senior men for their weekly scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday.

After two teams tied with a minus-four score on the back nine, the group of John Gauch, Dennis Pierson, Bruce Sine and Ross Klopp then prevailed in a putt-off.

Closest-to-the-pin winners, were Steve MacEachern on No. 12 and Harry Hicks on No. 17.

MEN'S STEAK NIGHT

At Ainsdale, men's steak night, Thursday, was another huge success with food abounding.

Travis McLaughlin jarred a chip-in on No. 7 to score an eagle and tie Derek McBride in A flight (he also beat Bill Pike's closest-to-the-pin with that shot, but who’s bitter?).

Rick Kinjerski won B Flight while Dave Blenkinsop and Mark McBride shared top spot in C Flight. Jim Martin claimed D flight.

Closest-to-the-Pin winners, were Ken Gardner, Duane Kocela, Travis McLaughlin, Steve Jolley.

Longest drives, went to Chad Carruthers and Nigel Newsham.
