The high temperatures have brought out some of the hottest scoring in the Ainsdale ladies league.
Aug. 2, Barb McBride recorded a personal best, carding 51 strokes on the front nine, while Shelley Pollock displayed a cool 52 Stableford points.

The sponsored-hole winners for closest-to-the-line were: Barb Grubb, Shirley Thomas, Colleen Douglas, Diane Small and Shelley Pollock.
The long drives were blasted by Maureen Peet, Wendy Gardner, Marlene Morrow, Ruth Johnston, and Marianne Irwin.
There were 27 ladies who will be rewarded with a Dairy Queen Blizzard for their efforts on No. 3.
The long putt was earned by Muriel Cochrane, while the closest-to-the-sprinkler-head prize went to Laura Haight.
SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
The great summer golf weather continued with some fine scores turned in for the Senior Men's scramble at Ainsdale, Aug. 3.
Taking top spot, with a minus-five on the front nine, was the team of Dick Ford, Phil Thompkins and Ross Klopp.
Closest-to-the-pin winners, were Crawford Heritage at No. 3 and Ron McDonald on No. 8.
