About 175 players and coaches gathered Saturday at Connaught Park, Kincardine, for the year-end rookie ball tournament.
There were 12 teams, including five from Kincardine, along with teams from Ripley, Saugeen Shores and Owen Sound. Rookie ball is for youngsters, aged seven to nine.
Each team played two games under the gorgeous sunny sky, and each player received a trophy at the end of the season.
The barbecue lunch, put on by the Kincardine Minor Ball Association, was supported by No Frills Kincardine which donated all the drinks, and Ripley Variety which supplied the hot dogs and buns at cost. A special thank you to Michelle Liddle of the Ripley Minor Ball Association for her support and assistance in organizing the tournament.
Volunteers from the teams worked at the barbecue and concession booth.
