Brayden Secord is junior champion at Ainsdale; as well as ladies' and senior men's results

Brayden Secord (above centre, with Carson Rutledge, left, and Slade Twolan) is the 2016 Junior Club Champion at Ainsdale Golf Course, with scores of 77 and 75 for a 152 total.

Brayden's second round had six birdies!

LADIES' LEAGUE
 

The steamy hot summer temperatures continued Tuesday and the Ainsdale Ladies kept pace, with some scorching scoring.
 

Norma Jean Rhody came to play, carding a sizzling 33 Stableford points to dominate D flight. Not to be outdone, Dawn Cleland presented a season-best 48 Stableford point total.

The flight winners for Stableford points were:

• B  Jennifer Lawrie 29
• C  Marlene Morrow 32
• D  Norma Jean Rhody 33
• E Dawn Cleland 48

The low putters by flight were:
 

• A  Kathy Mackay 16
• B  Jennifer Lawrie 17
• C  Barb Lansink 18
• D  Marlene Morrow 17
• E  Shirley Cole 21

The sponsored-hole winners for closest-to-the-line were:  Barb Grubb,  Nancy Turcotte,  Una MacDonald and  Joanna Malott. The long drives were recorded by Denise Tighe,  Wendy Gardner,  Kim Williams,  Ethel McDonald and  Shirley Cole. The long putt went to Antoinetta MacDonald while the closest-to-the-sprinkler head was Dawn Cleland.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE

Another great summer morning for the Senior Men's Scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday, with the team of Ron McDonald, Ted Carthy, Terry Brown and Steve MacEachern topping the field with a fine minus-four score on the back nine. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Dave Blenkinsop on No. 12 and Rod MacDonald on No. 17.
