Sunny scoring for ladies at Ainsdale; great turn-out for senior men

The sun came out, the rain dried up and the scoring was just as sunny as the sky, for the ladies at Ainsdale Golf Course, Tuesday.
 

The brightest spots for the day were shone by Anne Rock and Deb Pegg with 14 and 15 putts, respectively

 

The flight winners for Stableford points were:

B  Jennifer Lawrie  37
C  Wendy Houghton
D  Anne Rock  38
E  Jan Kelly  35

 

The low putters by flight were:
 

A  Debbie Pegg  15
B  Chris MacDonald  17
C  Marlene Morrow  15
D  Anne Rock  14
E  Sandy Black  19

 

The sponsored-hole winners for closest-to-the-line, were:  Sharon MacDonald,  Nancy Turcotte,  Una MacDonald,  Erin Kelly and  Jan Kelly.

The long drives were boomed out by  Laura Haight,  Colette LePage,  Ruth Johnston,  Marianne Irwin and Jan Kelly, while the longest put was recorded by Heather Struthers.

Closest-to-the-sprinkler-head went to Maureen Peet.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
 

Another great turn-out for the Senior Men's scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday.

After three groups tied at minus-one on the back nine, the team of Dave Hannay, Roger Pilon, Art Koberinski and Les Jolley, captured the putt-off, to claim top spot. 

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Randy Kudar on No. 12 and Ted Carthy on No. 17.
