Bulldogs bring semi-final series back to Kincardine for Game 6
The Kincardine Nicol Insurance Bulldogs escaped elimination from their Western Junior "C" semi-final series against the Ironmen, after taking a 4-3 overtime win last night (Feb. 25) in Wingham.
Gerrit Satosek had the unassisted game-winner, half-way through the overtime period, to bring the semi-final series back to Kincardine Davidson Centre tomorrow night (Feb. 27).
In Wingham, last night, Brycin Morrison of the 'Dogs opened the scoring with an unassisted effort 36 seconds into the first period.
Wingham then scored twice to take a 2-1 lead at the end of the period.
The Ironmen scored midway through the second, before Shawn Moore scored from Morrison to make it a 3-2 game heading into the final frame.
Moore tied things up early in the third, assisted by Chad Simpson and Matthew Mah, to push the game into overtime, where Satosek scored to give the Bulldogs the 4-3 win.
Game 6 runs Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Davidson Centre. If the Bulldogs win, Game 7 will be back in Wingham, Saturday, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m.
