Lucknow Novices win WOAA championship and Jacobi Cup
The Lucknow Novice Sepoys downed the Ripley Wolves, 3-2, in Game 5, Wednesday night in Ripley, to win the WOAA championship and the Jacobi Cup.

It was a hard-fought battle, with lots of end-to-end action.

After a scoreless first period, Lucknow opened the scoring early in the second on the powerplay. Ripley tied it late in the period to make it 1-1.

In the third period, with just minutes remaining, Nolan Moffat scored to give Lucknow a 3-1 lead. Ripley tried to rally, scoring with just a minute left to play, to come within one. But the clock ran out and the game ended 3-2 for Lucknow.
 
The Sepoys celebrated the win, taking the series and the championship.
 
The Lucknow Sepoys include coach Ean Moffat, trainer Chase Chapman, head coach Darren Maki, Colton Maki, Kaden Hanna, Ewan Johnston, Grayden McNee, Brody Gibson, Kevin Scott, Nolan Moffat, Alexis Greig, Braydon Curran, Blake Dalton, Marley Courtney, and Wyatt Frey.

The Ripley Wolves include coaching team, Jeremy Phelan, Craig Moffat, Jim Murray and Dennis Dewar, Gage Lyon, William Falconer, Wade MacKay, Reed Smith, Reed Dewar, Jared Moffat, Nash Watson, Kale Liddle, Will John, Cuyler Liddle, Braiden France.
