Ripley Lions Club celebrates the 100th year of Lions International
The Ripley and District Lions Club is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lions International this year.
Chartered in 1974, the Ripley Lions Club has 42 members and donates money to a wide range of organizations and projects.
The Lions strongly supported the construction of the new picnic shelter, located beside the ball diamonds behind the township hall in Ripley, said president Murray Yungblut. "This structure is in the centre of the village and will be enjoyed by many people for years to come."
The picnic shelter was initiated by the Ripley 4-H Beef Club and spearheaded by Mike Gallant and Shawn Colling.
