Legion District C track and field meet held under beautiful sunny sky

Hundreds of athletes from District C gathered in Kincardine for the annual Legion track and field meet, Saturday, June 10, at the Davidson Centre track.

Joining those from Kincardine, were athletes from Kitchener, Mitchell, Clinton, Wingham, Wiarton, Port Elgin, Goderich, Lucknow and Cambridge, competing in three divisions: age 13 and under, age 15 and under, and age 17 and under.

Placing in the top three, were the following Kincardine area athletes:
 

• Ben Brewer, first, boys 13 and under 100-metre race; first, shot put; second, discus
• Evan John, third, boys 13 and under 200-metre race
• Liam Fitzgerald, second, boys 15 and under, 1,200-metre race; second, 2,000-metre
• Jared Petrie, third, boys 15 and under 200-metre race
• Page Auer, third, girls 15 and under 300-metre race
• Aaron Reid, third, boys 15 and under 300-metre race
• Ryan Renaud, third, boys 17 and under 100-metre race; and third, 200-metre
