Hole-in-one at Ainsdale during senior men's league
Ainsdale's senior men's league had a great surprise, Wednesday, June 7, when Jim Martin scored a hole-in-one on No. 8.
After waiting three years, MacGregor Homes of Inverlyn Estates finally got to offer its prize of $100 to the team, which included Helmuth Beraro, Ken Gannett, Wayne Morrow, Ken Mitchell and Martin.
This is Ainsdale's second hole-in-one of the year, following Christine Deguzman's in May on the same hole, using a five wood from the red tees!

Meanwhile, on an overcast but dry Wednesday morning, July 12, the Senior Men's Scramble at Ainsdale witnessed a rare three-shot victory by the team of Murray Wardell, John Downs, Rick Hamilton and Doc McLeod, who posted a fine score of minus-five on the tough back nine.
The second-place team at minus-two, consisted of Bob Wolfenden, Phil Thompkins, Robert LaForge and Rod Shanks.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Bob Wolfenden on No. 12 and Phil Thompkins on No. 17.
