Tighe out-duels Neilipovitz in Ainsdale Ladies play; and great turn-out for senior men's scramble
The Ainsdale Ladies stormed the back nine on another fine, sunny summer Tuesday.
Denise Tighe out-duelled Karen Neilipovitz to take first place in A flight, recording a scorching 44 strokes,
Taking the top two spots for Stableford points this week, by flight, were:
- A - Denise Tighe 19, Karen Neilipovitz 17
- B - Jennifer Lawrie 21, Colette LePage 19
- C - Sandy Petter 17, Colleen Douglas 16
- D - Shirley Thomas 24, Pat Emmerton 22
- E - Maureen Charrette 18, Julie Brown 18
The low putters for the day were: Debby Antler 15, Cindy Schmidt 15, Bonnie Ritchie 15, Pat Emmerton 16, and Julie Brown 19.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
An overcast morning did not diminish the enthusiasm of another great turn-out for the weekly Seniors Men's scramble at Ainsdale, Wednesday.
Finishing on top, with a fine minus-five score on the back nine, was the team of Dave Hannay, Ted Carthy, Marvin Boles and Grant Fotheringham.
Second place, after a putt-off, at minus-three, was the team of John Gauch, Kenton Ehgoetz, Scott Stevens and Vaughn Munro.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Derek Kennedy on No. 12 and Ted Carthy on No. 17.
