Deb Quinn dominates Ainsdale ladies league; Jake Colley is junior champ; and senior men's results
The Ainsdale Ladies took full advantage of the warm summer sun to bring the back nine to its knees, Tuesday.
Deb Quinn dominated her flight by a margin of 14 Stableford points over her nearest competitor and stroked in a winning 17 putts.
Cindy Schmidt used her favourite putter to sweep in a season-best 12 putts on the back nine.
The top two for Stableford points this week, by flight, were:
- A - Sharon MacDonald 19, Karen Neilipovitz 18
- B - Kathy Mackay 21, Anne Burton 20
- C - Colleen Douglas 18, Shirley Thomas 18
- D - Maureen Charette 20, Heather Struthers 20
- E - Deb Quinn 29, Jan Kelly 15
The low putters for the day were, Maureen Peet 17, Cindy Schmidt 12, Janice Matchett, Nancy Turcotte 15, and Deb Quinn 17.
The lucky winners of the draw prizes, donated by Tartan Home Inspections, sponsor for the day, were: Nancy Turcotte, Judy Gordon, Gail MacIntosh, Laura Haight, Maureen Peet, Jan Kelly, and Shirley Thomas.

SENIOR MEN'S RESULTS
Another day of nothing but sunshine for the Senior Men's Scramble at Ainsdale Golf Course, Wednesday, with the team of Bob Wolfenden, Clarke Pollock, Bill Heikkila and Ross Klopp leading the pack at minus-three on the back nine.
A shot back, claiming second spot after a putt-off, was the group of Garry Skelding, Boyd Carruthers, John Bond and Derek Kennedy.
Closest-to-the-pin marksmen were Paul Pickett on No. 12 and Gary Firth on No. 17.
