More than 50 people inducted to Kincardine's Sports Wall of Fame

More than 50 people were inducted to Kincardine's new Sports Wall of Fame, at a ceremony Friday night at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Recreation director Karen Kieffer and former recreation director Keith Davidson presented plaques to each athlete or builder of sports in Kincardine, and plaques were also affixed to the wall.

There were many impressive athletes on the list, and among the builders was Doug Kennedy (Mr. Hockey in Kincardine) who didn't even know he was being honoured. He was quite surprised and became emotional during his speech.

Among the new inductees, were 38 athletes and five builders; plus, the original Wall of Fame inductees were moved to the new wall which is located between the former seniors' room and the recreation office in the Davidson Centre.
