KDSS girls basketball teams defeat Sacred Heart; prepare for BAA finals
The Kincardine District Secondary School junior and senior girls basketball teams defeated Sacred Heart High School, Wednesday, at KDSS.
The juniors sit in second place in the Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) South standings, after downing Sacred Heart, 29-22. They take on Saugeen District Secondary School in Port Elgin, Monday.
Meanwhile, the seniors are undefeated, claiming top spot in the BAA South standings, after a convincing 57-11 win over Sacred Heart. They also travel to Port Elgin to take on SDSS, Monday.
Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Owen Sound, the junior and seniors compete in the BAA championships.
In the semi-finals, the juniors take on St. Mary's High School of Owen Sound, while the seniors take on Grey Highlands Secondary School of Flesherton. Meanwhile, Peninsula Shores takes on Walkerton District in the other junior semi-final, and Owen Sound battles Saugeen District in the other senior semi-final.
The winners of those semi-final rounds, advance to the BAA final.
