KDSS senior girls advance to CWOSSA basketball; juniors play final Monday

KDSS senior girls advance to CWOSSA basketball; juniors play final Monday
For the second year in a row, the Kincardine District Secondary School senior girls basketball team has won the Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) title.

KDSS downed Grey Highlands, 52-26, in the semi-final, Wednesday in Owen Sound, and then beat Owen Sound, 39-30, to win the BAA championship. Ariel Luinstra had 14 points in KDSS' win over Owen Sound.

The seniors girls now advance to CWOSSA (Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association) which is being hosted at KDSS Nov. 17-18. For details, check the Facebook events page at: CWOSSA A Girls Basketball.

Meanwhile, the KDSS junior girls basketball team lost its BAA semi-final match to St. Mary's High School, Owen Sound, , 25-22, Wednesday in Owen Sound.

The team plays the BAA final, Monday (Nov. 13) in Wiarton, in an attempt to advance to CWOSSA.
