Ripley Bantam Wolves are division champs at tournament in Orillia
The Ripley Bantam Wolves travelled to Orillia on the weekend, went undefeated in four games, and brought home the division championship in the annual Pro Launch Corporation Hockey Festival.
Friday, saw the team take on Lincoln Centre, and take a commanding 7-1 win.
Saturday, the Wolves began the day against the Huntsville-Davicor team, and won handily, 8-4. That was followed by a 4-2 defeat over the West Nippissing Bantams, putting Ripley into the finals.
Ripley took on the hometown Orillia Storage Bantams in the championship game, and it was a hard-fought battle, with a back-and-forth score. The Wolves had a 3-2 lead, prompting Orillia to pull its goalie, allowing Ripley to score for another 4-2 win.
The Wolves scored 23 goals over four games, which highlighted their game play, team play and sportsmanship!
