The Ripley Wolves split their games last weekend, defeating Lucknow 7-3 and losing to Durham 4-2 (empty-netter).
Jamie Bailey got the start on Friday night at home against the Wolves' cross-township rivals, and made 30 saves for his first Senior "A" win.
Goals were scored by Tim Dwinnell (2), Brett Catto (2), Devin Kemp, Cody Britton and Mark Stanley. Assists went to Jarred Colling (3), Britton (2), VanGaver (2), Tyler deVos and Nick Locking.
Saturday, the Wolves hosted Durham and lost 4-2 (empty-netter). DeVos had a goal and a helper, while Tyler McCarthy had the other Wolves' marker. Kemp had two assists, while Dwinnell also had a hand in deVos’ goal.
Kurt Edwards was strong in the Wolves net, making 35 saves, while Ripley peppered Durham’s goalie with 40 shots.
Ripley travels to Lucknow this Saturday, Dec. 27, for an 8 p.m. start, and then heads to Port Elgin to face the Winterhawks Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 8:30 p.m. The Wolves return home Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, against the Mapleton-Minto 81’s.
