KDSS students defeat staff, 9-3, at charity hockey game
The Kincardine District Secondary School students took on the staff in a hockey game at the Davidson Centre, Kincardine, Tuesday, Dec. 16, and won handily, 9-3.
However, it was all for a good cause as the event raised $200 for the Kincardine Food Bank, and another $200 for the Christmas Knights and the Kincardine Hamper Program.
The students had a commanding 6-1 lead in the middle of the final period, before the staff began to make comeback, scoring two quick goals to make it 6-3.
But the students then owned the rest of the game, firing in three more goals to take the 9-3 victory.
