Kincardine Bantams shut out Mitchell; advance to Silver Stick finals
The Kincardine Bantam Kinucks have advanced to the finals at the 28th annual Kincardine Regional Silver Stick hockey tournament, after shutting out Mitchell, 4-0, Monday night at the Davidson Centre, Kincardine.
The game was 1-0 for the Kinucks until late in the second period, when Kincardine scored, making it 2-0.
Mitchell tried desperately to get on the board, but Kincardine held fast, scoring another in the third, followed by an empty-netter, for the 4-0 win.
The Kinucks now face Tavistock in the Bantam "B" final, slated to begin at 4:45 p.m. tomorrow (Dec. 30) at the Davidson Centre. No word yet on the finalists for the Peewee "B" final or Bantam "C" final.
BBMHA takes on Drayton in the Peewee "C" final, tomorrow at Noon at the Davidson Centre.
